Extract of chicory
A great source of  inulin/F.O.S.  Inulin/F.O.S. serves as a growth enhancer (stimulator) for health-promoting bacteria (good bacteria referred to as bifidobacteria and lactobacilli). As soon as a critical mass of "good bacteria" is achieved, enzymes are secreted that break down the preobiotics into acids (acetic, lactic and butyric).  These acids restrict or inhibit the growth of many harmful bacteria.  The "good bacteria" also secrete antibiotic substances that limit the "bugs" responsible for food poisoning. As a result, the balance of the flora in the gut is favorable and the enzymes created by the flourishing bifidobacteria and lactobacilli mixed with gastric acid can now "crowd out" the disease causing bacteria. The ingestion of moderate amounts of inulin/F.O.S. can act as a prebiotic that nourishes the beneficial bacteria in human and pet digestive systems which helps to promote a healthy digestive system and has the potential to improve the host health.  A healthy gut facilitates the absorption of nutrients and minerals.  Generally, only about 20-30% of consumed calcium is absorbed by the body... with a healthy gut, up to 70% is absorbed.

Sea salt
A great source of trace minerals.

Zinc proteinate
A great source of zinc.

Iron proteinate
A great source of iron.

Copper proteinate
A great source of copper.

Rosemary extract
Rosemary extract is like other antioxidants, it inhibits and fights free radicals. Recent studies show that rosemary extract, and its constituents carnosol and ursollic acid, enhance activity of enzymes that can detoxify carcinogens.
