Pet owners love Steve’s Real Food Beef Diet for its lower fat from the lean muscle meat we use.  Unlike the Chicken and Turkey Diet, Beef contains apples for extra fiber, and the beef provides high levels of Zinc and Copper two minerals that work together to support the metabolism.

One of the differences between Steve’s and other raw meat diets is our meat-to-veggie ratio of 80% to 20%. This gives your dog nutrition that provides the proteins and essential vitamins and minerals that help fight disease and promote strong bones, muscles, and organ function.

Ingredient Benefits

BEEF is the most nutrient-packed protein, with very high levels of Complex B Vitamins, Phosphorus, Zinc and Iron. These vital nutrients are incredibly beneficial. They support a healthy immune system (zinc) and strong skeletal system (phosphorus), prevent fatigue (iron), and increase energy (B vitamins). Beef also contains high levels of Selenium, which is known for its treatment of allergies, arthritis, and heart disease.

BROCCOLI’S concentration of Vitamins A, C, and K, Folate, and fiber make this vegetable a super food. Broccoli has been known to have anti-inflammatory properties and has been used in detoxification.

APPLES are very high in dietary fiber and Vitamin C and are a known source of antioxidants.

CARROTS are a good source of Vitamin A, which is known to help with vision. Their high levels of dietary fiber make them a good digestive aid.

KELP is a power food because it is a natural source of bio-available minerals that help your pet keep a healthy coat and digestive track.

RAW GOAT MILK is one of the most complete foods there is because it has almost all the vitamins and minerals needed to sustain life. It is most similar to breast milk – even closer than baby formula. Unlike cow’s milk, it has many more short and medium-chain fatty acids, increasing its digestibility.

EGGSHELL MEMBRANE is a high-quality ingredient which is the actual lining of the eggshell. It is a great source of glucosamine and chondroitin.

Nutritional Analysis

In the 2015 NCHS, Steve Brown noted that AAFCO’s and the European equivalent nutritional requirements for dogs and cats are about half, if not one-third that of what the ancestral diet is. He also noted that the only way to achieve the same levels would be to feed 100% wild game and that there are very few pet parents who would have access to that. In the nutritional chart below we shows you the AAFCO requirements for adult dogs and cats and note when our nutrient leves are double that of AAFCO.
