turkey

Our free range, vegetarian fed turkey is an excellent source of quality protein, and is easily digestible. Added watermelon provides increased levels of Lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals, specifically those derived from oxygen.

One of the differences between Steve’s and other raw meat diets is our meat-to-veggie ratio. Our protein-to-produce ratio is 80%/20% in order to give your pet the bio-available foods that provide both the protein and all the essential vitamins and minerals that fight diseases and promote healthy body function.

Nutritional Analysis

In the 2015 National Canine Health Symposium, Steve Brown noted that AAFCO’s and the European equivalent nutritional requirements for dogs and cats are about half, if not one-third that of what the ancestral diet is. He also noted that the only way to achieve the same levels would be to feed 100% wild game and that there are very few pet parents who would have access to that. In the nutritional chart below we shows you the AAFCO requirements for adult dogs and cats and note when our nutrient levels are double that of AAFCO.
