Nutritional Research

Steve's
Real Food for Pets
is a humane and cruelty-free pet food manufacturer.  All tests are done feeding our own dogs and cats, and through national veterinary feeding trials.  You can find our veterinary test results under Steve's Real Food customers share their success storiesAs animal lovers ourselves we would never condone the abuse of animals for any reason.  We regularly test our foods for Salmonella, E. coli 0157:H7, & Campylobacter to ensure our products safety.  We also test our foods for pesticides (our ingredient sources are of such high human quality that bacteria and pesticide residues are very unlikely, but we love our pets too much to take any chances).  We then flash freeze at -50 degrees our foods to eliminate the possibility of parasites.

Steve's Real Food For Pets, a properly prepared raw diet, has been shown to be effective in cases of allergies, arthritis, hip dysplasia, hot spots (cysts), digestion, kidney & urinary track health, reduction (in some case elimination) of fleas and many more ailments. It also promotes whiter teeth, better breath and a naturally shiny coat. Cat owners report more affectionate cats. Most pet owners use the term "profound changes" when describing the benefits.

Our dog food formulas have been on the market since May 1999 and was developed over four years, and based on a European formula. Real Food For Pets insists that all nutritional claims for the food be backed by science and our product is the most tested in the industry.  Raw feeding has a history of more than 30 years and has shown to be safe as well as nutritious.  Steve's Real Food For Pets is the culmination of research, testing, and the dedication to a healthy life for dogs and cats.
