How many patties come in the 13.5 lb box?

Each 13.5 lb box has a bag containing 27 patties.

How many patties come in the 20 lb box?

Each 20 lb box has two individually sealed 10lb bags, with 20 patties each (40 patties total).

How many nuggets come in the 9.75 lb box?

Each 9.75 lb box contains two 4.875 lb bags

How many nuggets fit in a cup of food?

About 4oz of nuggets fit into a 1 cup measuring cup. This will vary due to the nuggets varying in size.

How do I serve the food?

We suggest leaving the food in an airtight container in the fridge overnight to let the frozen food defrost and giving it to your pet the next day. You can portion the food out for the week in containers, which will stay in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Can I warm the food up for my pet?

Yes, You can pour warm water over the food and mix it in to warm it up Another way is while the food is still in its container/baggie to slightly warm up the food before serving using the defrost setting on your microwave.

Can I cook the raw food in the microwave or a skillet?

No, we don’t suggest cooking the food as high heat breaks down beneficial nutrients and because the food contains bone.

What about parasites in pork meat?

We take several steps to ensure our pork diets are free of parasites, starting with sourcing high-quality pigs raised by local farmers that are free-range and fed a species-appropriate diet of wheat and barley. We also use HPP to deactivate Trichinella parasites (the roundworm that infects animals that eat contaminated meat) and test each batch before it is shipped out to be sure it is free of Trichinosis.

Can dogs eat pork?

Yes, dogs can eat pork, You don’t want to feed heavily seasoned pork. Leave it plain, or better yet, add some Steve’s Pork diet to their bowl. 

Can dogs eat pork bones?

Yes, you can feed your dog pork bones. You will want to ensure that the bones you feed are raw, as cooked bones can splinter when eaten. You will want to monitor your dog at all times when giving any bones. 

Is pork good or bad for dogs? 

Pork is great for dogs, pork is a good source of protein, vitamins B6 and B12, and Iron and Zinc. 

Can dogs eat raw pork? 

Yes, dogs can eat raw pork. We recommend using Steve’s Real Food Pork Diet, which comes frozen or freeze-dried.

I also love that there is green lipped mussels in this recipe because it’s great for my English Bulldog’s stiff joints!
