How do I serve the food?

We suggest leaving the food in an airtight container in the fridge overnight to let the frozen food defrost, and giving it to your pet the next day. You can portion the food out for the week in containers, and it will stay good in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Can I warm the food up for my pet?

Yes, You can pour warm water over the food, and mix it in to warm it up Another way is while the food is still in it’s container/baggie to slightly warm up the food before serving.

Can I cook the raw food in the microwave or a skillet?

No, we don’t suggest cooking the food as high heat breaks down beneficial nutrients and because the food contains ground bone.

Can dogs eat turkey?

Yes, raw turkey is an excellent source of nutritionally-dense lean protein, riboflavin, and phosphorus. The cooked turkey you share with your pet should be plain, free of bones, and given in moderation.

Can dogs eat turkey bones?

Yes, as long as the turkey bone is not cooked. Cooked bones can splinter and cause digestive upset. The turkey bone content in our food is double ground so it does not pose a threat to your pet.

Can dogs eat raw turkey necks?

Yes, raw turkey necks are a great source of nutrition. Chewing is great for your pet’s teeth and provides mental stimulation. Again, be sure to give in moderation.

We switched to raw food because our husky developed ZRD from kibbles. It also feels natural for him to eat what his ancestors ate. He loves turkey patties and we know this food helped him heal. It feels amazing to feed him food of highest quality he absolutely deserves !

Augustus, my 3 year old English Bulldog, absolutely loves and needs this in his diet. Augustus has extreme food sensitivities to chicken, beef, lamb, pork, and eggs. I recently changed his diet from Primal due to the change in the a rabbit formula (they added eggs). Now he is on Steve’s Real Food Turkey patties (75%) and Steve’s Real Food Raw Freeze-Dried Whitefish (25%). He is currently thriving on this food, and I am noticing his dandruff slowly diminishing. Within two months, I am going to flip it to 75% Whitefish patties and 25% raw freeze-dried turkey. I am extremely happy finding Steve’s Real Food!!
